Now then folks

Got some bad news yesterday. Got made redundant from work. No big deal, as im pretty sure I can get another job. But this is the killer................my 500 is a company car . Going to be gutted to see it go as its been a corker so far. No other car around has so much character imho.
Staying in the Fiat family though. Going to look at a Punto HGT tomorrow. Muhahahaha (y)

tell me about it. and I sold my 06 plate stilo (with remap and full eibach suspension tweaks) as I was getting a company car. rubbish timing lol.

Sorry to hear about your predicament, hope you find a new job soon & you never know you may be soon on your 2nd 500.

Sad to say in the current economic climate this is going to become ever more common, makes me glad I've got about 20 months to retirement(y)

Cheers for the words of support.
I was working in the construction industry and its gone really really bad in general. Lots of building companies are laying people off. No one wants to buy houses cos of the scare. Banks and mortages companies are on 25% deposit mortgages, which means most people may as well forget it. Then the banks dont want to give building firms money to build, so jobs are all on hold. Its killing the industry at the moment.

Anyhow, got sorted with that Punto lastnight. Drives pretty well and is in really good condition for a 51 plate.

i know how you feel, i got made redundant on wednesday :( i worked for a kitchen company who had contracts with the big house builders and with it being the way it is, they had to let some staff go...gutted, i'll hopefully be able to find another job asap, otherwise the 500 will have to go!!!

Any joy on the job front mate. I got an interview tommorrow (y). If I get it, I will be doing pretty much what I was doing before (im a draughtsman by trade, so it can vary from job to job)
