Hi all

Im really excited im picking up my baby tomorrow, its been in the country for ages, but i was waiting for a 58 plate (cheap student want to get the most out of it).

I just wanted to know what i should expect tomorrow, will they give me an eco-drive stick? what paper work will they give me, since i will need to get a residents permit asap, and westminster will only give me one with certain paperwork.

Anything else i should make sure i dont leave without tomorrow.

cheers

Rob

I'm also getting mine tomorrow! Hurrah! Roll on 8:00am. Where abouts are you picking up from in London? I am picking mine up from London too.

I would take the following things with you...

Insurance Certificate - to sort out the tax of the car.
Drivers Licence (both parts) - incase you need to set up finance
Record of utility bill or bank statement - again incase you need to set up finance.
If you are part ex'ing then I think you will need service/handbook for old car, sets of keys, radio lock code, DVLA log book thing, user manuel and obviously the car.

This is all I am taking - if anyone else would care to chip in it might help me too!

Also, whats the spec of your car? Will look out for you on road!

Hey, mines coming from fiat Marylebone, live virtually across the road from it, so will roll in when i wake up (again student on holiday, even a new car isnt going to get me out of bed).

Literally getting it with everything:
1.4 Lounge
Bossa Nova White
Ivory Ambiance
Red Leather w/ White Piping

Extras:
Dark tinted windows
Front Fogs
Automatic Climate Control
Leather Upholstery
ESP
Electric Sunroof
Electrochromatic Dipping rearview mirror
16"5 O-spoke alloy wheels
Side Rubbing strip with 500 Logo
Leather Gearknob
Interscope hifi system
Reverse Parking Sensors
Pastel Paint

Not pxing, got rid of my old car privately, and not taking finance, they have my insurance already, but will take it anyway if it arrives on time (They have the cover note and said thats ok)

Whats your spec?

Enjoy and if your in Marylebone tomorrow maybe ill see you.

Well I wont be in marylebone as I am in west london. Mine is a 1.2 lounge in red with ivory ambience and the only extras I got were the chrome a bar and chrome bonnet strip which I only ordered on Friday! Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow!!!!

I rang my dealer and they said they didn't need the cover note until pick up on Monday! Hopefully all will be good!

I wanna be a student again.

Is Bossa Nova White a pastel colour???

make sure you check everything works and that everything is there e/g the underseat storage!!.( mine came without it )
also check the document wallet has all the user manuals in it and that the dealer has filled in the service book with the cars details and stamped the pdi part of it, you'll probably not get an eco stick as no one else on here has one then try and blag some freebees or some discount for some accsesories. i got mats for £25 and the air freshner for £40

just cleared out my old car!!! Bit sad (n). It was my first ever car and the little Seicento has done me proud! Be sad to say bye to it tomorrow. I am feeling that I have bought accessories already...ordered them through dealer on Friday. going to try get them discounted.

What is this underseat storage that everyone talks about? I didn't see it on the test model car.

enjoy your 500! as a fellow seicento owner i was going to get a new car for tomorrow as well (although a cooper s not a 500) but couldnt bear to part with my seicento when it came down to it, plan on keeping it another year or two now... you will miss it i guarantee it :)

(but im sure a brand new 500 will go some way towards making up for it!)

put some pics up when you get it :)

I only got the very basics with mine, but getting the car was more than enough to make me happy. :D

Dumb question - what's the eco stick?

I ordered my 500 at Fiat Marylebone, I managed to get mats thrown in for free so defo try for those!

Getting mine tomorrow. It's a 1.2 Sport in bosa nova white with the red 500 roof stripe. I went for the full chrome minus the bonnet strip and black leather interior.

AFAIK, It's a USB drive with specialist software on it, that, when connected to the usb port in the car monitors your driving and allows you to download that info to your computer. A special program on there analyses the data and makes certain recommendations as to how you can improve your driving to aid fuel efficiency.

Where do you get it from and how much is it? Also, what's this about a free fiat branded memory stick??

Pearce, no-one has been able to get one yet. Regarding the free "gift" this is a presentation box (see below) that contains a USB stick that connects you directly to the Fiat registration site so that you can enter the relevant details about your car and receive reminders about servicing, MOT, insurance etc.

I got sweet FA with mine - they didn't even give me a service book! And also - i don't seem to have the underseat storage - it's standard on Lounge 1.2 no leather is it not?
