General 500 Armrest

General 500 Armrest

Covering a fair few motorway miles then IMO an armrest is useful. Always spec them when it is an option.

Anybody any experience of them as an aftermarket for the 500 ?
 
Just spotted this on on ebay, could be OK for anyone with black ambience.

That's my reservation, hence wondering if anybody had any experience. Want one, but drilling holes in Luigi, plastic or not does concern me.

I'd like one but didn't get a reply on the red issue. As I have red seats I think black or grey would look a bit aftermarket.

BTW that trim panel is quite a small bit and removes in isolation:

I fitted a black Armster armrest a couple of months ago.
It only took 5 minutes to fit and looks like a manufactures part, and is of a good quality.
My car has an Ivory interior but because the console, door trims etc, are all black it looks part of the car .
I think it would look odd attached to the black console in a different colour.
Overall I'm very impressed with it.
One point worth mentioning is if you drive with the seat well forward it won't be of much use to you.

Hi i fitted a Armster armrest in our 500 it only took 5 minutes to fit.
It is a good quality item.
I have now sold the car and removed it and its for sale on EBay if anybody is interested.
