General 500s dead!

i've just read that and the one thing you have to make sure of is that there is no current going to the connection when the boot is closed.ie when the plunger is depressed so as not to let your battery run flat due to the light being on all the time.

i can assure you all the boot light is plug and play regardless of model

it has a constant power and is earthed throu the boot lock

witch is a common part regardless of having a boot light or not check the part numbers

Bit of an update regarding the original post:)
The battery has been fine since, left it 3 1/2 days over the weekend and no problems at all. Its been perfect, so the flat was some fluke, Im still guessing it was because I turned the DRLs off via the computer and something went wrong because of that. Theyve been left on since and no flat battery... weird!

Mine have been turned off since day 1 with no battery problems. Hard to imagine what caused the original problem. I guess we'll never know unless it happens again and you are able to determine the cause by process of elimination.

Info on the boot lamp from the other 500 models.

The lamps part number I believe is 60665239 and its price is £11.19+ vat = £13.15

So if the wiring is there you are well away!

If anyone wants any more info feel free to ask!
