General fiat 500 alarm

It has ultrasonics and the led goes in the windscreen. All electrical connections are soldered and go into the fusebox under the bonnet and under the dash. The main unit is hidden, the siren goes near the battery. You get one remote control as a back up to your existing remote control. Existing wiring is used between the siren and control unit. My inside leg measurement is 31 and my waist is 32, (in my pants, all those who know me know this is true lol)

can you help me (meta system alarm for 500). the wiring diagram is crap, the blue wire from the alarm, does it go to the block connector on the indicator switch, thanks marcus.

Well if you try that on me I'm going to get you with my 88mm flak/anti-tank gun which I carry on the back of my halftrack.

I forgot to see if had one as standard and then realised afterwards it didn't. I don't think they are much of a deterrent as no-one looks when a car alarm goes off and it does have an immobiliser. ]

Where is the immobiliser on the 500? I had one on my peugeot - there was a keypad that I had to put the code into, this worked very well - even though I hated the car lol :confused:
 
I dunno where the immobilizer is, but I think it's automatically enabled because the key is encrypted.

What sensors does the alarm have? And is it true you get an extra key?

That in your pug was a secondary immboiliers if I'm correct. You would have also still had an electronic one like the 500 and all new cars, which is activated / deactivated through the key (there is a chip in the key forb).

thanks Jon for clarifying - naturally I havent read the manual so didn't have a clue re the immobiliser lol :p
 
I prefer not having one - when I hear an alarm go off I can relax knowing it ain't my car getting kicked in (y)

this is very true Damiano, I think I will leave the alarm for now, unless I get a problem with a break-in then I will probably change my mind :D
