Anyone out there got these, opinions of them?
Are they easy to fit?

Here's the footwell from my car with the pedal kit

There's no Aluminium footrest though, why do I get the feeling trouble's coming .... again.

Can anyone confirm if the Sports pedals (50901701) come with the matching footrest for RHD cars?
Thanks for the pic Damiano. (y)

Hmmm... I think even if the foot rest is there it wont fit in the RHD as there is no space. As you can see in LHD 500s there is a space there and its even there in the RHD but on the passenger's side !!(n)

LOL did the research looked at a million pics !!

Assuming that the aluminium footrest is the same size, it might be smaller?
There is a small footrest in the RHD cars and agree the LHD one will be too big for the RHD models thats why I am asking the question.

The footrest is about a third of the size in the RHD cars if that. There is no way the standard footrest will fit and Fiat don't have a tailored version for the UK market.

Sparco and Momo do some nice universal aftermarket pedals if your interested.

I've ordered a set of 500 sports alloys pedals from Anthony Betts Ltd off eBay, and they are for RHD 500's.

I have already been quoted £30 including VAT for fitting them but will shop around.

Once they are fitted, I shall update you all with my comments.

Got the pedals kit today and I did some measuring....the bad news is the foot rest won't fit. But pedals OK though.

For £75, I would have expected all items to fit and the fact that the pedals are official Fiat parts (50901701) certainly takes the p***.

Fitting another £30 inc VAT (Research Garage in Nuneaton) while Colliers in Acocks Green quoted £47 inc VAT. It pays to shop around.

how do they fit on ? i will probably buy them if you say them are secure enough. the footrest will work on mine when i get it ,mines a left hooker.(y)

They are fixed by screws - holes to be drilled into the pedals! Looks like a workshop job.

When I get home, I will scan the instructions and post them here for your information. Also I will take pictures to show what is really the issue here, for RHD 500's, and post them here.

Right folks,

Not good news I am afraid....

I did some mock-up fitting of the pedals and footrest. The pedals will fit OK, but the footrest will NOT. The reason is that the transmission tunnel gets in the way in RHD cars, and the contours will simply, not allow fitting of footrest especially if it is a rectangular shape. The dealer who sold me the pedal kit has been good about this and has said a refund will be made when I return the pedals to them. They will aslo raise a word with Fiat UK - I will be sending them pictures to illustrate my point.

I attach two pictures:-

a) the red highlight shows the contact area for the footrest, and the footrest is pictured next to it to show you the difference between the straight lines of it, and the irregular contours of the tunnel. So a fully flush fitting is very remote in my opinion.

b) the second pic shows a photoshopped visual of the shape of the footrest if it WERE to fit flush with the tunnel edges. I accept it isn't the best of solutions though.

I have since then bought a set of Sparco rubber and alloy pedals but I've had to sacrifice the footrest.
