Not keen on the A bar myself.
I dont think its worth the money either.
Electrochromatic rear view would be good though or what about ESP? or would that be pushing your luck too far?

I'm with the NO camp as well. As always, a personal choice and it does relate to an original feature but I think that if you carry too much over it can start to have a detrimental effect. After all, we are talking about a modern car and Fiat have created a first class motor but who would want dummy stick on grilles on the boot lid if they were a £100 option?

:idea: Perhaps adding a poll would gauge peoples preferences more accurately as even a lazy person might click an option whereas they might not feel inclined to post a reply. Not that that would be the case on this forum of course.

I don't think you should get it. It will just cause masking problems next time you choose to have the bonnet resprayed.

If you like the retro look the A bar adds to that, if its the funky "new car" look that floats your boat then do without.

Its VERY retro. IMO

Excellent point.

Spec e-mailed to FIAT, without the 'A' Bar, but with the auto dimming rear view mirror.

If I decide I liked the A bar I can always add it at a later date.

i like the 500 with or without the A bar i just like how it changes the whole mood of the front, I do agree that you can go too far and that's why i didn't get the bonnet line or vintage leather, don't dis the fact its plastic it's about the look , remember a good part of the car plastic (the front end except the bonnet is all plastic!! might go the whole retro look on our other 500, the lose config so far is a 500 1.2 pop in punk grey with vintage leather, Abar and bonnet strip vintage wheel trims, colour code mirrors, poss chrome kit

Are the front wings also plastic a la Renault Clio ?
