General Punk grey Anyone?

General Punk grey Anyone?

I think the Punk Grey with Red leather would look very smart & individual.
I also own a '99 classic Mini Cooper Sportpack & remember Yukon Grey being offered by Rover, from late '96 to '99. It wasn't a popular colour at the time but now it's a sought after colour, especially if fitted with the Tartan Red leather.

The Punk Grey/Red leather combo could be the collectible 500 of the future !!

As someone who owns a Morris Minor and a 500 I have to confess that I don't like rose taupe or punk grey. Just a little too brown for my liking :( The rose taupe Minors have red vinyl seats though so I guess a punk grey 500 with red leather would look appropriately retro :)

Well so many comments in one day! Thanks everyone........We love the colour, it is as mentioned a 'marmite' reaction! But very unique because of it...We just love it with the red calipers....no red leather option but it was a consideration.

It is certainly unusual - in a good way! (y) Your photos just go to show how the colour alters in different light conditions too.

On a similar subject we are in a quandry about our wee car.

Salesman promised the example in the showroom was Jive blue, he checked the service sheet and assured us it was.

We are now 99% sure the car was Mod Blue (a Navy blue) and not Jive Blue (a pastel colour)

I'm now debating do we go back, I can imagine the garage will apologise but charge us an extra £350 if we want to change.

Is it worth it...? I don't know, Jive blue is nice in a retro way.

Any comments?

They are both nice colours with the Mod Blue being a shade or 2 darker if I remember correctly. The really light pastel blue is Cha Cha Cha Azure.
I would imagine they would charge you the extra mate and given that your order has just been placed you still have time to change if you want to its your shout.

Punk grey was my second choice!! Dealer had one in the showroom after I had chosen yellow and I did a bit of wish I had chosen the grey as it looked sooo nice but was too late to change and I do love my yellow, but if I ever buy another one it would be Punk grey with the vintage leather :)

I think you went for the right colour. Why conform with the masses. There are too many silver/grey cars on the road. (y)

My 500 is funk grey and I love it! A lot of people stop me in car parks etc and say how much they love it. Mine was a stock car so had no choice but don't regret it at all. The only thing is I think it suits the darker interior (which mine has) rather than the light one.

I've ordered a Punk Grey 500, due for delivery on October 31st, it was dawesy's photos on Flickr that changed my mind :) (I was orginally gonna go for Cha Cha Azure). When I placed my order the dealer checked UK stock and there were only 4 in the country so I think it's still quite a rare colour.

I've gone for tan leather with ivory ambience so it's good to see the photos from fiatdownunder!

Cheers slicedorange! Pleased the pics helped you to make you mind up! It's a great colour and we love it....Especailly as it doesn't show up much dirt...! Enjoy and post pics when it arrives

No probs! Thanks for posting the pictures on Flickr ;) I'll be sure to upload pics when it arrives, I'm in countdown mode at the moment, it's going to drag :(

Wow, having seen this thread I wish I'd have had a punk grey one with a tan leather interior. It's a stunning colour IMO! (y)

If I could choose again it would be a tough choice between Mod Blue and Punk Grey, but I think that Punk Grey looks better on the interior with the tan leather and ivory ambience that I like. If I were to go for the Mod Blue exterior I'd stick with a black ambience and black leather interior.

My brother wants a car like mine eventually so I might let him buy it and go for a Punk Grey one instead a few years down the line if it's still available! Either that or an Abarth

I'm still glad I went for a white one since I love white cars but I just wish that it wasn't such a standard colour for them now! Oh well it'll look even better once I get my new alloys. :D

I was close to going for punk grey, went for white :)

The punk grey I could have had is still sitting at the dealers 10 months later!

It would be one of the few punk grey 500's in the country, they stopped after the second boatload :(
