Really fed up with waiting for my 500 to arrive now. I knew the delivery date was Sept 3rd but it seems to be dragging like mad. I do remember my Grandfather having to wait nearly a year for an escort back in the seventies but that was during the strike years.
I've never bought a new car but I see airfields full of the damned things on my travels so why are we waiting up to 3 months?

What date did you order by the way? I am equally pissed off with waiting and ordered it 20 something of April - not even a delivery date so far. :worship:

All good things come to those who wait:)
The 500 is in demand all over europe so until that demand is met we all have to wait inc me:(
But like the others have said it will be worth it to own one of the coolest cars for years:D

Looks like some of you have waited an age compared to me. But as someone who makes products that are in demand I find it really embarrassing if a customer has to wait a week.
Thing is, I look out for Fiats everywhere since we've had the Panda Mamy but I don't see that many. I'm still amazed that my neck of the woods isn't swimming in Fiats. They are such good value for money compared to everything else.

i've been quoted 12 weeks delivery, better not be longer or I'll charge interest on my deposit!

(knowing my luck it will won't be delivered before Christmas (n))

having a little panic reading this thread. I ordered mine this morning and they said it would be with me on the 1st September. Why is everyone else having such a long wait?

I am sure the 12 weeks will pass quickly (NOT).
This seems to be the standard waiting time that people have/are being quoted, I was told between 10-14weeks but could be slightly earlier.
Just waiting for a call from AC (Dundee) on the current status of my wee silver machine (was at status 16 beginning of August).

Yes I don't think it was a factory order. They looked on the system at the cars available at the depot and there was a red one in the UK already but withouht the Ivory finish. It was in black. They then looked 'one step back' on the system and there it was a nice 1.2 Red Lounge with Ivory interior and black check with no optional extras...exactly what I wanted. They rang up 'the port' and the dealer was on the phone with the lady there for a while and she promised it was on the ship and would be pushed through quickly for me. It seems too good to be true - thats why I am worried.

5.5 month wait list - I don't have any delivery date yet! - same with paulmc. This is after putting down the deposit on a dealer pre-ordered car back on the 5th of march - that was quoted to have been built in April. Are you guys by any chance in Perth, Australia?

I envy those who get theirs in 3 months!

Has anyone-else had the quarantined warf workers because of horse-virus explanation?

Where abouts do you live?

Still at status 16 (AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!)
Looks like the people who said the factory in Poland closed all of August were right.:cry:
(Salesman not 100% sure if the Polish factory closes like the ones in Italy)
Looks like my waiting time has been extended by at least another 4 weeks.
Looking like end of September beginning of October for it to arrive.:bang:(n)

In Greece we have to whait about six months. It's allready gone about a month from my order and i'm going to be mad until the car be delivered to me!

What's making it worse for me right now is that I don't currently have a car. I feel naked and a victim of Britain's hopeless public transport. I also have to work outside most of the time so this sodding wet summer is driving me round the twist.

Sorry if it wasn't clear, I live in Perth, Western Australia... in Australia... I reckon pretty close to the bum-end of the world for Fiat.

And I guess, no-one else has been also told that a the previous shipment went to the wrong country?

I see now why you have such a long wait!
