What pressure do you fill tyres to?

That's all really. Just curious what pressure everyone is filling their tyres to?

Should be in your hand book, also maybe a sticker in glovebox lid/Door frame/boot lid/underbonnet.

And don't forget the figures are for COLD tyres(y)

Re: air pressure for the 1.4 100bhp 500

Hi Yariv,

Have you considered looking in the back page of your owners manual?

I drove mine over 650 miles, the ride was very hard and it felt a little like a bone shaker. A few day later I checked the tyre pressure.
They were all 3.0 bar (cold)!!! I put them down to 2.2 / 2.3 bar. What a difference it made! Why did the dealer fill them so much?

So a word of warning to people, check your tyre pressure on you new 500!

You ought to have a word with them about that, that sort of a difference can cause serious road holding differences and possibly result in a smash :(

I am sure they would be very grateful, if the calibration has gone out of the tyre pressure guage then they will be filling everyones tyres incorrectly. Almost all garages have tyre pressure guages, and torque wrenches calibrated every 6 months, if a piece of equipment has gone out of calibration it either needs resetting or replacing.

I am sure that 3 bar is the delivery pressure and the PDi tech hasn't checked them. Mine were the same.

My MJTD on 15s runs 32/30.

Cheers
