the chrome is on plastic... it wont rust but it will sort of go off over time. I have a 2002 Vespa and the palstic chrome is still shiny, hasnt peeled but some of its started to go sort of spotty! Had it from new and really looked after it too.

All chrome is plastic now, even Bentley grills are chromed plastic.

Yes I can see there might be a problem with a pastic exhaust.

Interesting though, that the rear view mirror stays white in colour no matter which interior you choose. Given that it comes out of the black area of the screen, it should be black on black interiors... and now that i've noticed its white, Its bugging me cos I personally think it looks awful.

You could always take it off and paint it satin black, not hard to do either.

I agree with you, especially so on mine as the car is black, sticks out like a dogs bol**ck

I wish this link had not started, I was driving home from work tonight and couldn't take my eyes off the ivory mirror... reminding me I couldn't have ivory ambience.....grrrrrrrr !
I think that the black ambience with for the sport with leather is just a marketing decision from Fiat Uk since the option of sport and ivory with the leather is available in other countries like Italy. But dont ask me why!!

just from interest what colour is the electrochromatic mirror?
White steering wheel would go a horrible colour rather quickly!

Is there somebody on here who has a Grand Punto and a 500 who could see if the black GP mirror fits on the 500? I'd be interested in buying a black GP mirror if it fits...
