General Radio code on startup

Mrs 'dini popped to the shops earlier, got back to the car after 30 minutes, put the key in the ignition and it asked for the radio code.

Back home I turned the ignition on and off a few times, but that didn't clear it, so I rummaged around in the dealer info, found the code, entered it, and all is well.

Was it a characteristic Italian one-off quirk, or is this happening to anyone else?

that's very weird

well it shouldnt do it again as the code is stored in the body computer after you input it and the radio requests it from there on every start up after power has been disconnected so even after disconnecting battery it wont ask for it

why the radio would forget the code unless the battery came off i don't know

and then why the body computer didn't tell it the code again is very weird

it's like the most unlikely sequence of events

can i just ask have you had the mielage and clock on the dash flashing

also can you pop the bonnet and give the quick release earth clamp a tug to make sure it's attached properly

they some to the dealer with the clamp open so someone may have forgoten on pdi
