General Front Mud Flaps - Desparately needed

My local garage said it happened with the Stilo (similarly inset door) a lot but Fiat didn't want to know.
This sort of thing is part of the reality of owning a car sadly. Drive it on the road and it will get stone chips. Ventureshield is supposed to be very good stuff so see if that sorts it out for you.

Just spoken to a really nice guy @ my local Ventureshield franchise (about 5 miles from my house as it happens), they do indeed do a full kit for the 500 which is very comprehensive for £390 supplied & fitted. Just need to get the worst bits touched up a bit & consider whether to have it done.

They do various options according to their website:

2008 FIAT 500

Bumper Package
(Part Number: IPFT010B)

Hood Package
(Part Number: IPFT010H)

Headlights Package
(Part Number: IPFT010L)

Options Package
(Part Number: IPFT010O)

You have to contact them directly for prices. The website has some diagrams too. http://www.ventureshield.com

My local agent said that he could probably cover the complete bonnet:eek:

I mentioned the area that I had particular concern about the 3/4 panel behind the door & he said it wouldn't be a problem to cover this as well.
Going to pay him a visit next week

I think they tend to do whole panels now, so you get no lines across the bonnet (although faint anyway).

I dont get this stuff, I mean how are you ever supposed to polish the car? Surely over time the venture sealed bits will look different to the other bits you can polish?
BTW, I looked at the Pandas profile of wing and sill and its very similar to the 500s, so the pro-fit mudflaps may well fit on the front. Rears not do easy as the wheelarch liner is a different shape so flaps might not attatch right?

Has anyone had a price or even the work done on protecting this area yet then ?

Years ago I had a Lotus Elan and it had the same problem, the area in front of the rear wheel arch used to just get pited and looked terrible. Later Elan's had a clear panel fitted from new by Lotus. If you look at an Elise it's the same.

I'd certainly like to have an area covered if this is going to be damaged just a quickly and easily.

I don't fancy covering massive areas of the car but maybe this is the new thing to do ??
