After a twelve week wait I went into my dealers to pick up my shiny new 500 on Saturday. There it was sitting on the forecourt looking shiny and new - but hang about there is something wrong. Where is my sticker, what about my sunroof and where are my fog lights.

After much discussion and worry the dealer tells me he will find out what has happened - he seemed to think that this was someone else's car and mine was still on the way.

Today they eventually returned my calls to tell me there was a mistake. They have ordered the wrong car and are now trying to find a car of my specification so that I don't have to wait another twelve weeks. sob

Looks like there will be no summer of fun for me

Aw no, I'm really sorry for ya - hope they can get their act together and get something to you quick, or at least something to tide you over til you get your car in the spec you ordered!
 
Doesn't fill you full of confidence when they can't get it right whilst taking money from you.

Hope it's sorted soon, maybe a few freebies would make you feel better(y)
 
Mine was the wrong spec too, but mine was ordered before the car was launched and the configurator had things on it that aren't available here, and some of the item descriptions weren't translated properly.

Snowball - I did order through Souls at Bletchley.
 
As mentioned above, my dealer cocked up my order. To be fair to them they did bend over backwards to sort out. It meant I had to wait longer but they upgraded our original 1.2 pop to a 1.2 sport for NOTHING!!. They also threw in mats, chrome mirrors, a full tank of fuel & italian wing badges and also loaned us a Gpunto while we waited :D.

So yes I did have to wait but now we've got our new bambino I'm glad we did.......fate can be a funny thing ;).

Hope your dealer sorts out the cock up, I understand the frustration...lets hope they can try & make ammends.

Jeez, that's who I have ordered mine through, not there there is much to mess up on mine - completely standard apart from a stripe. I really hope they get this sorted with knobs on, glad Fiat UK are helping.

O yes. I agree with that, fate had it that mum's Yaris had to come with ABS which it didn't when we ordered it. I caused a delay (and the buggars tried to charge us for it), but in the end we got it free, and its prevented atleast 2 accidents over the last 7 years!

Unless you were being sarcastic, the dealer did you no favours as the sport and lounge are the same price!
