General fiat 500 braking problem -BEWARE

When sitting in the passenger seat the brake bar has to be pushed to the left to activate the brakes. As this is located to the right of the passenger foot wells it would have to be moved with your right foot to the left, but as you wont have the leverage from the brake pedal i find it very hard to belive it can be moved with enough force to lock the wheels.

Your friend must be huge with tiny feet to fit in the small gap.

Maybe the passengers' legs are so long he is putting them into the driver's footwell?

Either way, having been reminded of this today I've just lopped the wifes legs off just below the knee when she came in from work today. She's still whinging about it too

A cunning plan worthy of Baldrick. And now, of course, when your wife is your passenger you can put her legs wherever you like.

meh :p I don't need no FRA as the wife doesn't read the forum and I doubt I'll be meeting anyone off here :p

Only because you know that Tony is probably one of the few people on the forum who wouldn't thump you if they found you...
I'm not sure I care tbh :) I don't live my life in the hope of pleasing some people who just happen to have purchased the same car as me.

I just want to say that this is going to be an essay but it could potentially save you a bit of money so spend a few minutes reading ;) No harm if you don't but I shall fart in your general direction.

Thought it might be useful if there was a thread showing where people could get the cheapest places to get their cars serviced and where to get cheap parts ...

... That's not really helpful and that's what this thread is all about.

If anything in here doesn't make sense or you'd like it explained feel free to ask on the forum, don't PM me as not everyone can see PM's and a reply on a thread helps more people than a reply to a PM.

?

There's a difference between helping people and pleasing people. If you've ever worked in a customer service role you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.

I couldn't live with myself charging people for advice which in 99% of cases is free on the web :)

It would be nice if my solictor would tell me that  . Well then at least restrict responses to donated members (which I should be and will be). If you cannot get paid for what you enjoy doing, then at least ensure that they make a little contribution if not to charity - then to the Forum.
