Ebay is full of people paying over RRP because they think Ebay=cheap.

If you mean the one with the little green white and red loop, I paid £8.49 for mine from nuova500 shop!!!!! :-(

Would have gladly bought from my local dealer but they didn't have any accessories in stock - all to order, and just from the catalogue. Wish the fiat flagship was a bit nearer!

allways do your homework:D.......it pays you know..& in this case it certainly did:D

Not car related, but I recently bought a Panasonic Plasma screen and Blu-ray player.

I went to a Panasonic dealer to get all the info on it, knowing they woud be the most expensive but would give most information, then went to Currys, House of Fraser, Ebay, RIcher Sounds, various online discount AV dealers, to see who was giving the best deal.

To my surprise, the main Panasonic dealer was £100 cheaper than any of the others for the hardware, plus they included a 5 year manufacturers warranty, free HDMI cable, free delivery and free technical setup by an engineer. The others wanted an extra £250+ for the additional stuff.

Again, it looks as if "main dealers" can be better value than some think.

Indeed, my dealer also gave me a 10% discount card when I bought the car. The ivory edged carpet mats were therefore £44.98 as opposed to the £59 from Nuova500shp.

I didn't look online cos I couldn't wait... so I guess I didn't really do comprehensive homework...

You should have gone to Comet or Currys! They could have sold you a £50 Monster Cables HDMI cable which is no better than the cheapie Panasonic would have given you :p
