I have ordered mine with these i think they give the car a better line
(as mentioned it can look a little tall without them) but a stripe pr sticket would do the same thing. I like them they look good self coloured.

Thanks so much for all your advice. I guess it is a nice dilemma to have! I will take your advice and keep the car with the strips. Thanks again! You won't believe how much I have been examining cars with and without them and trying to work out which looks best...

I didn't order them with my car but the salesman got his option codes wrong so they came with the car. My car is Mod Blue and I like them. I have the chrome 500 badge in mine.
