Ha Ha, I can't...bless em !

Not sure why really, the mini's a good car, but so many new mini's are appearing on the roads near me at the mo and I just can't help thinking they made the wrong/expensive choice. Almost double in some cases !

Plus the 500's a better looking car IMO (and they know it)

I'd go as far as saying the 500's as much of a style icon as the TT when it first came out !

Not me, I just dont think you can compare the two cars at all. I laugh instead at the small amount of people round my way, that actually have bought a Twingo instead of a 500, now thats just weird

Don't get me wrong, I think the Mini's a cool car, just not as cool as the 500 !

I feel the same way. Every time I see a mini I laugh and think ner ner :

My brother drives a Mini One and so we're always fighting about which one is better, the Mini or the 500. And then we watched a program on Fifth Gear where the Fiat won

But I don't blame the new BMW owners, of the ones I know, they don't give 2 hoots for the heritage of the car. 1 even has no idea why some are called Cooper. Hmmmm

I know it's not uncommon, but it makes me think . . it's the power of advertising /appeal over actual vehicle. That's when I laugh at them

ive always laughed at them people who bought fake bmw bigi things, nothing to do with the 500. the whole idea of bmw trying to make a copy of a british classic is just wrong

My neighbour just bought a black second hand mini one of which she is very proud....and our parking bays are next to each other.....and very soon I will be parking my red 500 next to her....and....and then she....er...won't be so proud!(?)

Yes but will we all still be sniggering when we all take our 500's in for their first service and were asked for £250.00??? whilst the mini owners only had to pay £150 for 3 years servicing and and a brake fluid change....... HMMMM

i cant help grinning too, i love being in the 500 the looks you get from people when they are admiring the gives me a real buzz

me mate. It only cost's me £50 more to get my Porsche serviced at the main dealer...... A FIAT AIN'T NO PORSCHE!!!!

I have no money for my 500 at the moment, might aswell throw another £250 at it haha.

you can get car serviced any where dont have to be main dealer, any vat reg garage using oem parts will be ok.
fiat normally start out with big service price, then do a deal on it making it cheaper so everyone thinks they getting a good discount

You seem to be missing the point some what.... If BMW can offer that to mini owners why can't fiat? also if your happy paying THAT! for such a small car.... do you fancy buying my porsche???? my SL350 is here in 4 weeks

Irrelevant 'mate'. By the way, the price of servicing is built into the overinflated purchase price of a 'new' Mini.

By the way, nobody was comparing the 500 to a Porsche.

And the MINI One costs more than a fully specced 500 Lounge. I bet when One is brought up to the same spec, it will add a few thousand pounds to the initial price.

Still, its nice to be driving a car that competes in many ways with a car that can be twice as much.

bmw place probably say more wear n tear bits will need replacing, to make their money up
