Picked up my black 5O0 mjt sport last Thursday. The red leather looks really nice and I find the seats really comfortable with great support.

A couple of points. I am trying to get a mobile that will work with the Blue and Me without spending too much. The list that exists on this site seems to list phones that are really quite old. Anybody know about new phones that work and are easily available and not too pricey.

The dash lights seem to have life of their own. Is there some sort of light sensor that cuts of interior dash lights if it is quite bright. With the recent rainy weather I have had the lights on and then suddenly they flick on and off as it brightens. - Strange. I have also found the glass roof emits quite a lot of wind noise on the motorway.

I bought the car as I commute 150 miles a day from Nantwich to Solihull - nearly all motorway - so needed something more economical than my 3.0 BMW Z3. My first tank averages 53mpg cruising at about 75. What have others got early on and does it increase to the suggested 60+ or is that unlikely on the motorway.

The issue with wind noise has been mentioed before, I'm sorry but I dont have time to dig out the thread, do a quick search. I believe a 500 has been returned to rectify/investigate the problem. Can someone shed more light on the matter?

I believe you can expect better mpgs as you add miles and the engine 'loosens up'.

Get the roof checked. Ours is fine (it's an opening one, not fixed).

As has already been mentioned, the engine will loosen up with use. Our 1.2 was doing 40-45mpg initially, and now after 2,000 miles it's averaging nearer 50mpg.

Just returned tonight and kept at 65 - 70 and returned 61.5mpg on the computer. I have attcahed some images as requested

We've got the fixed glass roof on our 1.4 Sport and the wind noise is hardly noticable, even at 80 MPH and with the radio off. Put it this way, it's a hell of a lot quieter than the opening panoramic glass roof on my previous car (Renault Megane), and of course it doesn't rattle. There is some wind noise though, but maybe it doesn't bother me as it's far better than what I was used to in the old car.

Very nice car, beautiful. Glad to hear you're getting a good mpg return so soon.

of the 3 i've tried:

LG viewty - connects but can't upload phone book

Samsung G600 - works fine, but occasionally ask permission to connect to blue&me

Sony Ericcson K800i - connects ok but won't automatically upload phone book. It would let me send them one by one, but I soon got bored
