Can someone point me in the direction of the posting I was reading this morning about dealer changing spec of status 13 car just before it goes to non spec changeable - therefore delivery much quicker than a fresh order. This is providing they have allocation of that engine/spec combination.

Your dealership does not need to have allocation of the version/engine you want to be able to do this, as there are almost always Status 13 cars in the system that have not been called off as sold (and are thus available to any dealership).

All it takes is a bit of effort on your dealerships part when you go in to place an order to find one and nab it. Almost all of the 500s my dealership sells are now sourced this way, and guess how happy our customers are when we tell them they can expect to take delivery in around four weeks?
