It was all the nice piccies that have been posted whot done it!

We had not realised how the stripe running along the window frames would look. So as the car was still changeable we have gone from B White with the Italian flag colours over the roof to T Yellow with the black side stripe. Still keeping the door strip with the 500 badge though.
We had a Barchetta for 4 years and the 500 yellow is very similar to the colour of that car.
Funny how a colour can change the whole appearance of an object.
(Sorry the 500 is not an object but an Icon - or it is, for the time being)

Having looked at this particular colour scheme on the Fiat Configurator, I would now revise my opinion. It looks much more like a wasp or a hornet than a bee. Anyone here remember the old Wolseley Hornet? No, I thought not. Never mind - but a Fiat Hornet sounds OK. The Fiat 500 Hornet (Special Edition), there you go.

fiat 500 horny sounds better lol

I still think I want a yellow Sport, sans chrome and decorations (except rubbing strip), with a red leather interior. Really!
I'm going to lye down now...

I went for the Yellow but without the black stripe as I thought it looked too much like a taxi  , She is called 'BIBI' short for .........Bumblebee!! but from the transformer movie rather than the insect!! Pics of her in the members photos:)

I am afraid to admit I can remember the Wolsely Hornet, complete with illuminated grill badge.

Cheers

And wasn't that illuminated badge a really classy touch? You could identify Wolseleys coming towards you at night. As it happens, I still have the badge at home from my old 6/80. Now there was an engine - 2 1/4 litres, straight-six, twin SUs, with a shaft and bevel-gear driven overhead cam. Pity about the exhaust valves . . . .

Thanks for all the helpful comments.
No, it will not look like a Bee, Wasp or Hornet - nor a Taxi,an American School Bus or a slightly rotting banana!
(I cannot think of other yellow objects but I'm certain some of you out there will - remeober they have to be DEEP yellow)

The car will look like a stylish 500 1.2 Sport in stunning Yellow with a go-faster shaped black stripe to make the car keep appear lower and longer.

Also the yellow dash is not so in your face as the white one we had originally ordered. Remember the interior is dark with Black leather seats etc.

Yes I am being po-faced but I will post a picture of our sometime yellow Barchetta (taken at a Barchetta meeting) so you can see where we are coming from.
