Sounds fab, although specifying the electric sunroof will delay delivery until much later in the year.

How much longer? I might delete this if it brings delivery forward. Wouldn't mind waiting a couple of months! The sunroof was my one worry as it robs headroom by about 3 inches.

Hate the sunroof. Robs headroom, and with climate - why? I wouldn't buy one with it. Drop the stripe too, it doesn't add style.

ESP = essential.:)

Do not chip the engine. Wait for the Abarth, and trade in a simple, but smart ( I love that leather - best in red! ) car when the time comes.

Is it a Lounge - you need the split seats...?

Personally, I am inclined towards the Sport, because I don't much love all the chrome, but that's me.

Enjoy...

Now I remember that....ta!
One day I'll have the time, and the energy, to approach a salesman and talk through the myriad options...
How about a Sport with the Lounge 'ambiance' - yeuch!
Possible?

You don't want to do that, they're horrible slimy nasty people! :p

Do you mean a Sport with Ivory Ambience?

We get loads of people that want that!

Yes Scrogg, I do mean ivory 'ambiance', yeuch! My definitions are careless I'm afraid.
So, I'm not the only one.....interesting!
Of course the salesmen are horribly slimy, but I quite like some of the little swine, and I can cope with the buggers...

Looks cool! I have the lounge and love it and italian stripe and badge cool too.

If you get the lounge, it has a fixed glass sunroof. I got climate control cause thought looked much smarter than the dials of air con but not really used the auto function.

Am sure whatever you go for will be cool anyway.

once upon a time i ordered a car with a very similar spec. THE END.
anyway i must say i love what you have gone for. only thing i would add the bigger wheels. the price of 150 is very reasonable considering other cars charge sooo much up to £1000+ for wheel upgrades (eg. yukky MINI, lol) .. i also agree with others about the stripes but its down to how think they look.. all in all, the 500 is amazing regardless how you spec it.. enjoy it! (y)
ps. be really persistant about mats and petrol etc. ask for it after the test drive and once the dealer is close to printing out your order. by that time they won't want to lose a serious customer over mats. may work out. good luck.

Okay, it's a lounge and I'm deleting the sunroof! I am worried about headroom issues....

If you want anything for free, negotiate that before placing the order, I did during order and was refused flat... I guess they realised I was having a 500 anyway so didnt need to offer any freebies. Nice spec but I wouldnt have the ESP personally... but its personal eh:)

And if you are thinking about chipping it - read my thread on re-mapping 1.3MJ 500.

There seems to be some doubt how far you can go with re-mapping without endangering the long term health of the gearbox.

Still waiting for answers from those in the know!

Well I finally ordered.

I wasn't willing to wait five months for the spec I really wanted so I was given a list of cars due in three weeks.

And there it was..... more than I could have hoped for! I actually went for a Pop rather than a Lounge as I decided against the leather seats as they are a pain in the butt (literally) in very cold and hot weather.

I really like the seats in the Pop and much prefer them to the Lounge, so to me it was actually worth spending more than the Lounge with the Pop specced up to Lounge level. (I am aware of trade value pitfalls ;), but they don't bother me....)

So I am happy. In three weeks I will have a Bossa Nova white Pop multijet with red and ivory interior plus all the Lounge spec (ie Chrome, Bluetooth, Leather wheel, body colour mirrors, Glass roof, 50/50 split seats with HR). In addition it has:

Side rubbing strip with chrome badge
Climate
Tinted windows
Leather Gearknob
Italian Flag on wing (not stickers)

Looked at the Sunroof but my head was rubbing against the roof lining so that was a no-no.

I am going along to the Nuova500Shop roadshow in Basildon on the 12th of April to find out more about the chipping and have a drive in their chipped 500...

I, too, think the claim that Fiat would put a chocolate gearbox into the 500 is pie-in-the-sky, to be honest

Very good spec.
Does the Pop have the seat cubby?
I agree about the leather. I prefer cloth too, but the red, and the tan, are lovely in so small a car. I'd happily do without them though.
This is very close to my ideal as well.
Enjoy...
