The Fiat flagship centre in Marylebone has a big ring binder of pre-ordered cars just about to be delivered.

The other 1.3 that caught my eye was a red, red/leather ivory lounge with almost every conceivable option for £12,600, including sunroof.

Nearly went for it but thought that red and red was a bit of overkill....

They have about ten of each engine ready for delivery in the next month, all with different spec.

Not fair... been waiting 9 weeks now, why cant they build actual customers cars first then?

Well it IS actually an ordered car, although what imbecile ordered it with all those options is beyond me , besides that, I am the imbecile who agreed to purchase it . Should have just ordered a bog standard lounge and saved £700....

Was very tempted by the Pasadoble 1.3 Lounge red leather, altough having got used to the cloth on my Civic, I'm glad I don't have leather...

Yes, we ordered on the 23rd Jan and finally been told it will be built next week. Having been told they were waiting for it to arrive in the UK "any day now" a fortnight ago...

The only thing I think could have delayed it are the 420 wheels, but sadly there is far more information on here than at the Fiat dealer as they seem to have no idea.

its not as cut n dry as the vid shows i can still drift my merc using lift of or power oversteer with the esp turned on and mercedes esp is widely renowned for being very quick to cut in !. i recon it will become a freebee later in the year on the 500 as its already included on quite a few small cars at no extra cost already

Can't believe it. Fiat Marylebone called at 5pm to tell me I can pick up little Fica on wednesday at 6pm. It's status 60 and is being prepared by the Fiat centre at the docks/depot as they don't have their Battersea Service Centre up and running yet.

Only five more sleeps!!!

Feel very silly, have never been this excited before about a new car. Have had a few and none have quite compared to this. Hope it's not an anticlimax!!

Dont feel silly!! think alot of us felt like that when we were waiting to pick up our new 500's!!I neverfelt like this with any of my other cars either I've had mine for a fortnight now, and still get excited when I see her and love driving to work now Hope the pick up goes smoothly and you can contain your excitement for the 5 sleeps left

I was the same... just like a kid waiting for Christmas. We've had our 1.4 Sport 10 days now, and I find I'm getting up earlier in the morning, just to look at it from the bedroom window and eager to drive it to work. It's sad I know. I can't wait for decent weather as I just want to give it a good polish and wax. It's rained every single day since we picked it up.

Were all sad when it comes to our cars.... funny thing is though, I was more excited about getting my Cinquecento in 1997 than this one, maybe because I was younger then?

Sad or not, but the garage has been given a carpet and carpeted walls.

This was a result of getting new carpeting for the lounge, and did not want to put the redundant one to waste, so it went into the garage trimmed and ready for the arrival of my 500 Sport any time in next few weeks.

lol!! Can we have a photo of their new home all carpeted ready for the new arrival??

I still can't believe it: a fortnight and a day. I walked into the showroom on All Fool's Day and palced an order... and it's Status 60! Wow!

Too pleased to oblige, and oh by the way, the carpets on the walls are thicker than that on the floor so to eradicate the worry of chipped door edges.

Maybe I should get an Italian flag and sepia pictures to hang on the garage walls?

Sheer torture waiting for my 500 Sport; 10 weeks already and was status 20 on 19th March. Any time in next few weeks....?

Ummmm?? where's the piccie?? or havent you put it up yet, Definately think the flag and some pictures would look great! what about an aquarium as well so he/she has something to watch while waiting to be taken out??
