Just wondered how people are finding power/acceleration?

The first day I had the 500 I thought it was quite sluggish/not as powerful as I expected. However I discovered over the weekend that if I pressed the accelerator down more than I would have on my old 2 1/2 yr old punto, response and power were a lot better.

I am now extremly satisified with it! :D Has anyone else found this?

Also, I am finding initially I am probably not going into 5th as much as in previous cars. Is anyone else finding this?

Thanks

Gus

It's a brand new car thats why it'll feel a bit tight. The car needs running-in properly before thrashing it. Mines done over 800 miles and has started to loosen up, so I'd recommend doing a fair few hundred miles before giving it some wellie :)

I normally find burying the throttle pedal in the carpet makes it go faster :D

The only time you need part throttle is when you are controlling a power slide in a RWD car (y)

Re running in see the running in thread for different opinions.......

I avoid 5th Gear altogether and tend to go straight for Top Gear...
