Collected our new 1.3MJ Lounge in Black with check/ivory interior and 16" multispoke wheels on Saturday morning.
Generally happy about the experience (love the car!) but:
1. dealer has not completed front of service booklet
2. clock was not set properly.
3. date on dash read Wed 30 April (!)
4. car came with half full tank of fuel. First time I've had a new car which was supplied without a full tank.

Anyone had similar experiences?

Oh, and further to my last, outside temperature gauge is wildy optimistic - reading about 5 degrees high

Other points are things hat shouldn't happen. But did you tell them you wanted a full tank when you were placing your order?

No - didn't think I had to!

The outside temperature sensor seems to be in a part of the car (the mirror?) which reads high if it is in the sun. If the weather is cloudy, the temp is correct. If sunny, the temp reads way high. Remember, this car is Italian . . .

My car also displayed signs of rather hasty PDI, but I did get a full tank.

Think my car was rushed thru the pdi as well, it arrived at 6pm friday night we collected 1pm saturday! because of the rain when collecting didnt notice some things i would generally have picked up on!! Mine had got the time put forward tho ready for sunday, and had the radio pretuned to local radio etc!!

Have just rang the dealer as noticed today that there has been some paint touched up(in wrong shade!) with still metal showing, in fairness it is miniscule but I can still see it and is now bugging me also mentioned about the number plate being screwed on instead of stuck! He apologised about both and is ringing me back on thursday! silly little things have slightly marred my 500 experience but compared to head gaskets etc are just minor probs!
Digressing tho sorry as for the temp readout ,dont know whether it is right or wrong as dont go around with a thermometer, as for tank of petrol I had 3/4 of a tank and because I picked up on the 29th march the tax disc runs out on 28th feb!!!!
Did get a little bonus tho which they had already put in the car for me
So on the whole they have been brilliant, just little things that could have been avoided! Loving the car to, Phone is brill reads texts as well which is a bonus as it says that it might not....

Very few dealers will automatically put a full tank of fuel in a car. It's one of the few things you can use on the 500 to get a deal as they are not discounting the cars so mats and fuel are your options to making the deal a little sweeter.

Car actually came with 20 quids worth of fuel which I suppose is more than half.
I hadn't ordered a set of mats when speccing the car but asked for some when viewing the car a couple of days before we collected it and they weren't put on the invoice so guess they must have been thrown in. Well actually, I think it's more likely they forgot about billing for them but I ain't paying for them now so result

Re temperature gauge - collected car on Saturday in my Jag X Type which read 2 degrees. Half an hour later drove home in Fiat which read 8 degrees. Must be global warming
