Hi all I just thought I would tell you about a stunning retro track to play in the 500, It's by a band called alpha who used to be part of massive attack I have 4 of their albums and have just got the new one called the sky is mine they just make beautiful music and are a hidden gem amongst so much mediocre stuff out there. The track can be heard at their myspace site which is www.myspace.com/alphastargazing
the track is called stumbled and it really evokes a real fifties sound and feel, I hope you agree of course I am not connected to them I just love their music, I just think playing that in the 500 would almost transport you back to more halcyon days enjoy :)
 
Great to see I'm not the only one that thinks this way:D

Since driving my 1.2 retro looking lounge in bossa nova white, I've found myself repeating certain tracks that just sound so right.

The first one I was determined to play was 'That's Amore' by Deano himself - not a major fan, but seemed perfect for a little italian love affair!

The second was on a compilation, and is such a perfect track - 'Tequila' - not sure who by, but almost as Austin Powers as the next one I'll be trying - 'Soul Bossa Nova' - Quincy Jones.

I feel a comilation coming on - I'm so sad, and I don't care:slayer:
 
Sheeno just go and listen to that track and let me know if that doesn't transport you back to the fifties, especially when the woman is talking with music at the beginning, just stunning :)
 
Very cool and retro.
Would like to hear it played loudly in my 500 whilst driving at a nice cruising speed along a decent road at night.
Like you say, good to hear something new that doesn't sound the same as everything else.

Was it "For the Wages"? If so that sounded more "Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon" influenced to me.

Good though and I'm a big Massive Attack fan so thanks for the link.
 
Nero500 it is the track called stumbled have a listen it really is great, I have 3 of their other albums they are a class act, and used to be in massive attack there is a track on the album stargazing called Elvis I think you can get the video on youtube the guy who sings it well his voice just drips with emotion have a listem let me know what you think :)
