Hiya

Does anyone have the official fiat air freshener in their 500? Also what are your thoughts on how well it performs. Being a girl, i always like my car to smell nice and considered getting the air freshner untill i saw the price of £61 on the fiat website. Does its performance really justify the hefty price tag?

£61 wowser ! That'll buy you whole load of Magic Trees :D. The choice of smells wasn't to my liking based on the "scatch and sniff" of the 500 brochure so I disreagded it completely. The Airfreshner also gets in the way of the Ipod holder so cant be used together which maybe more important to u.

£61 would buy a lot of soap and washing powder, so I reckon the old approach to car hygiene is still the best.

whoa i didnt know it was either the air freshener or the ipod, ipod rules hand down, i just wondered because it was so expensive if it was amazing - it should be for that price!

I think im gonna stick to my poppy coral, lol.

:D

Well, I bought one and I think it's ace. The salesman said that it's more practical using a memory stick in the car rather than the ipod 'cos you have to keep unplugging it and finding somewhere to store it away so I still get my music as well as my air freshener.

It is a bit pricey but totally worth it, mine came with the 3 fragrances as in the brochure so I can change it when I want to, still loving the new car smell at the minute tho ;)

I agree, it's worth it. I haven't used mine that much yet as the New car smell is still there, I have tested it though and it does smell really nice, not like the cheapo smellies you get from Halfords, it smells good :)

It'll no doubt confuse your friends (like mine) as to what it actually is/does and it looks cool when switched on too

Am interested but only if its AT LEAST half that price...heh remind me of what John R Smith said..us guys these days have to worry about girly stuff like Bluetooth and smelly things rather than manly crankshafts, oil brake discs and head-gaskets like back in the day...

Ok ok maybe we do have to worry about the headgaskets but thats a different thread:eek:

I would imagine, given time that youll find them very cheap on ebay, cant see that many people buying them tbh. Id pay £30 tops for it, anything more is silly money.

If you've paid over £11k for a 500, then £65 is nowt TBH. Can't see the point in buying a New car and not getting all the Official gismos that go with it.
