My daughter has christened mine 'weegie'. This is a derivation of an inhabitant of the fair Scottish city of Glasgow, a Glaswegian, or 'weegie'. It also follows from the star of the film 'Cars', a Fiat 500 called Luigi, he only follow the Ferraris.

Cheers

I'm collecting her tomorrow - if all goes well, and have narrowed it down,
First thought was Sofia - as in Loren. Would work because she's a beautiful Italian Laydee, although this may not have the 'edge' that I see in her. I also think of her as a feisty, bubbly, fashionable 60's chick, so I may go with 'Lulu'. Somehow seems like a cheeky little Lulu - white 1.2 lounge with italian stripe?(y)

Had our 1.4 Lounge (Bossa Nova White with Italian stripe down the side) for 10 days now and she's fantastic. We've named her 'Bella' because she's so beautiful.

Our's (when it turns up) will be called "Barry"....dunno why but the kids thought of it :nutter: & it seems to of stuck! Here's hoping they'll forget by the time it arrives ;).

Mine's called 'Toto' cause she's a 'friend of Dorothy's' (Groan)

But really it just gets called 'The Five Hundred' cause only pandas are real people and get names....

(no really!)

Mine's gonna be called 'Bite my shiny metal ass'...

So introducing friends to the new car when we go to work I'll be like:

'Hi, this is "bite my shiny metal ass"...'

He he....say it in an american accent and it's great.

Bite my shiny metal ass...

You can...Bite my shiny metal ass...

I am a girl therefore all cars are boys and all cars have names. My 500 is called Alfonso which apparently, if you're Italian and have been saddled with the name Alfonso, can be shortened to Fonsie which is quite cute.

You may have noticed Fonsie is spelt with an S not a Z. There is a reason for that...

Hi
I'm new on forum and quite new to Fiats (deposit paid, awaiting a call from dealer saying when it will be delivered). Mine is going to be white launge with black ambience and black/white trim. I have decided to call it Fica (pronaunced Feecha) as that was the generic nickname for all old Fiats 500 and 600 in Yugoslavia - where I was born). Not at all original in Belgade I imagine, but a novelty here ;)

Anyway, rambling... Hi to everyone!!!
