Looking into possibilities of bespoke 500 luggage in leather.

It will be tailored to the tapered shape of the boot to get maximum useage of available spage.

Will be 3 bags as per attached image.

May be possibilities of it becoming available through an online shop, the guys who I hope will make it currently do Aston, Ferrari & Porsche luggage & it's top notch stuff.

Looks good(y)

What I would really be interested in, is a weatherproof, maybe hard case that you could attach to the optional rack, to carry outside the car. Reckon this would look sooo continental but very practical. Obviously it would have to have some type of security attachment - just in case you wanted to stop off for a coffee before you got to your destination.

Yes for sure. I have ordered the rear bars, so just need to work out what bag/s I could use and also which straps/locks etc

If you do some research on that, could you post your findings please?
I really think this would be useful, especially as I'm going from a large estate to my lovely new 500 (Sofia) next wednesday and have to stay away for a couple of nights with work quite often. I'm thinking a hard waterproof case with really secure straps?

£180.

I'll have a set!!! So long as they're top notch quality!

The first "proper" bag has been made my Nigel at Nuova 500 Shop.

I have suggested a mod to the attachement of the handle to strengthen it but I recon they look pretty good. I still want them in green, white & red.

There are going to be three quality versions in various colours. The top, dogs b'locks made from the same leather as the new Aston Martin seats will be £125 all inc including P&P. I personally think this is a bit OTT for general use so we may do it as a limited range.

Then there will be a quality leather one for £87.50 all inc which is both good to look at and will wear very well indead (general leather bag type leather) and we are also going to do a Cordura marine fabric one that will be £60 all inc. The latter is the same material used by the most kit bag and hiking equipment manufacturers and is lightweight and extrememly durable.

A few questions;

Is the tricolore version still a goer.

What are the proposed dimensions.

How about a shoulder strap, detachable or otherwise.

Any chance of a photo of it in the boot of the 500? Just trying to get my head round how they will look.

Are red or yellow leather availalbe?

I'd be interested in a set of the aston martin leather tricolour ones. Do I buy off Nuova shop?

Is anyone thinking of making a baggy for in the passenger compartment for those of us who don't have a secret compartment under the seat?

Great idea about the boot shaped bags........especially the set of tri colore!
Spot on for a touring holiday.

However saw prototype bag (in boot) on a demo car and didn't think style or quality of manufacture up to scratch. Very homemade looking and cheap.
Not the "Aston Martin" standard as first perceived.(n)

At the asking price there are far better alternatives.
Just my humble opinion.

As I said. GREAT IDEA maybe the production versions will be better.

Units are still a fair way away from mass production though I believe so quality will proberly improve as the production of them becomes more refined.
