I don't usually go for leather in cars, but this cherry red is gorgeous. The tan looks good too. The trouble is that the standard tweed is just so smart. But I suppose a white one, or possibly blue, with cherry red leather seats might be rather delightful. Now, are they comfy? When I was a kid you could get green leather too, which could be bright and fun. Just as long as it's not the coal scuttle black...

I suppose with time we'll get to see all the combinations in the flesh, and that'll help (me) a lot. I've seen the part vinyl seats, but in a dark colour which I failed to study properly. Must take another look. Now I need to see the leather.
Leather always wrinkles and creases by the way, and this is part of the character of the material. Good quality leather will always look smart though.

The Grande Punto leather seats look firm and still look pretty good after 25k mileage and a trip to Rome.

However I'm afraid to say (especially as I've ordered the Red leather) that those pics that Suasexed posted most of em look wrinkley and too much fabric... Not flat and stiff..

Do you think Red Leather and Red/Black Ambience may be a bit overkill too?

I can assure you the flash light has created small shadows that ak the seats appear wrinkled because they are basically very flat unlike a lot of leather seats that have seams running accross them.

Based on pics I saw on this forum I changed my order from red leather to black check/ivory ambiance. It just didn't look good enough in comparison to the lovely piping and high quality of the standard interior. I also did not like how the plush leather contrasted with the cheap looking door plastic esp around the arm rest area.

I have opted for the leather having seen it at close quarters but you have made some good points.

ps I took some of the pictures shown in the forum.

I thought the leather looked very nice on the web pictures, but the vinyl/cloth interior as standard on the Sport demonstrator I drove looks really good too, so I decided to save the £600 and go with that. I have to say, after the first couple of miles I had fallen in love with this little car, so now it's just a matter of waiting till the end of March. Hmm . . . I'm not very good at waiting.
