air bag question...........

Sorry to be a pain, but so far no one has been able to tell me how you de activate the passenger air bag when you have a child in the front. It's just with our panda you just turn it off with the key & switch in the glove box. We don't want it permantley off just as n when required.

Any ideas as my dealers not sure:confused:

Thanks

Yoshi

Its interesting you say that but I'm not convinced that keeping them running means you have to chnage them more often. I have had a Volvo for almost 8 years now with DRL on all the time and I only recall changing bulbs on a few occasions........if I've changed them 3 times in 8 years and 120000 miles that would be it. It does have seperate bulbs for dipped and main beam which may be a factor.........

But certainly worth checking how easy to change as some cars these days are a real PITA to change.

those DRLs look a right pig to get to in the photos, the engine bay is pretty tight in the 500 anyway. Anyone know if they have a headlamp aim adjuster fitted for LHD roads, like the Audis do? Cant see a bit of black tape working on those lights!

Did some one mention DRLs?:D

So are these standard on all 500's? Should start another poll, how many 500 owners are keeping this function on?!?

Off for me too, reduces economy and shortens life of bulb. Might turn them on at night though...;)

:ROFLMAO:

Really, is it so negligible?

Oh yes, it really is tiny, we are talking of 10watts of power here.

Very roughly speaking you may loose about 0.0002 of an MPG, that's making the assumption that 1hp = approx 746wats (10 wtts = .013hp)

On a 1.2 Pop with 69bhp that's 1/5307 of the available power.

Equate that into a decimal & you get .0002, therefore if you get 50mpg you will only get 49.99mpg
