Dealer sales staff who drink at the local pub I work at weekends say 500 not selling as well as some dealers thought.
And for others it is selling better than they could possibly have imagined.

Theres unsold stock
Again, at some dealerships. At others there's nothing available for 3-4 months.

and demos still for sale.
See my previous post.

They know I'm into the 500 and say car supermarkets will get them in the end
Define "in the end"? Next week? Next month? Next year?

with demos at good prices in under 3 months
Hardly surprising, as nobody is going to pay RRP for a demonstrator with the waiting list for a new one in weeks rather then months or even years.

And when they do sell, the dealership gets to register another new car towards their target as a replacement, so it's a win/win situation! :D

It's very different from dealer to dealer. At one dealer close to me one of the salesmen has sold 15 500s in a month (I'm told anyway.) and a few other guys were not far behind. But on the other hand another garage in a smaller town has only sold 2 since they started taking orders.

This dealer group arent selling the personalised 500s or the demos or stock as quick as they thought they would, but their attitude doesn't help its like

"The products are cr*p,the customers hate us,the bosses are crooks"

and many looking for other jobs so are not too bothered. They were told 500s were supposed to sell so well they wouldnt have to be holding stock but they are having to. Am told thats one reason car supermarkets will get hold of them:devil:Not so good for dealers good for patient buyers:slayer:

Are there really that many of those on here?

Also why would a customer hate a good salesman?

As Scrogg says the position in your area is not replicated in the country as a whole of in Europe for that matter. If cars are not selling well in one area Fiat will just move production to a country where they are.

Fiat will get dealers to register the cars to themsleves to make figs look good if necessary or slow down supplies to a country to stop a load of them unsold, but dozens unsold in stock around the country now - on autotrader and elsewhere - but with so many combos hard to find someone exactly what U want perhaps - am looking for a red pop for yoshi at the mo

Yeah I wouldn't be too scared of buying a demo. I've just been changed and seriously considered just buying the car I have been changed out of, as I liked it that much. But can't justify a newish car just now.

i brought an 'ex demo' car again no probs, 8 months old, 5k miles. 90% of the mileage of an ex-demo car has been put on by the sales staff taking it home everynight..not by customers. When i test drive a car your lucky to get over 10 miles
