Has anyone got servicing details for the 500. I believe it is every 18000 miles or 12 months for the petrol versions. Has Fiat released pricing for servicing on the car?

Is there a service plan?

Thanks

I was told the diesel would be variable ie it would tell you when it needed servicing which might be less than 18000 miles depending on your style of driving

I guess service pricing will be similar to the Panda, anyone know the prices of Panda servicing?

It was good of FIAT to tell us that information existed!

But I suppose it's our fault really for assuming they will announce things to us internally, rather than constantly looking on the website for updates?

Those prices are hardly attractive, are they? :(

That is extremely expensive! What about the AC £149 for 23000 miles servicing using FIAT parts...is that a con or worth it?

Wow the service costs for the 500 service costs are significantly greater than the Panda (1.3Mj 500 vs Panda £473 vs £291). I wonders how Fiat can justify this when the sales pitch boasts about the robust Panda platform of the 500. Is ths an example of profitering or is it justified ?

I would have expected the first 3 service visits to cost around £500 tops from a dealer

The servicing is 18000 miles or 12 month intervals. It may be that within the possible 54000 miles something significant needs to be replaced as part of the service schedule......it would be useful to see the service items carried out at each service.

I usually service my own cars but as this is the first new car I have bought I will take it to someone to service it to remain within the warranty conditions for the first 3 years.

I know if I serviced this car myself it would cost me around £70 a service assuming high quality oil and all filters changed. Even adding in brake pads and brake fluid change I would struggle to spend £700+ in 3 years.

well because it's 18k the plugs are changed every service instead of every 24k as 36k would be to far for the plugs to go normally begin to fail around 40

but other than this not alot different from normal servicing

al thou i bet you when the panda was launched it had similar prices and they may have just dropped over time keeping up interest in the model and so on

Plugs aren't expensive though. Are they tricky to get at......sometimes its the labour time which pushes the price up if a service item is tricky to get at or other elements need to be removed.

That is expensive, the Panda was cheap from the start btw. I suspect the Mini dealers will be laughing at Fiats pricing... I can see the ads now.... Mini, expensive to buy but cheap to run, 500 cheap to buy but oh so expensive to run!!!:)
Still, you cant expect Fiat to make a good car and get the aftersales right:)

get it serviced at any VAT registered garage then.

If you actually look at the chart, Plan 1 gives you 12 services for £434 (Multijet) and on plan 4 you can have 12,345 for £1,080 - that's alot of services :D (the chart is poorly labeled)

Shocker - The 1.2 is the most expensive to service (n) I'm really suprised at these figures. Looks like I'll be going to an independent :)

Beast - where did you see the 3 services for £395?
