General New 500 on order!

Hello folks,

Well that was quite a day. Having spent two and a half hrs at each one of two dealers in the Midlands, I placed an order for a 500 Sport 1.2 in Crossover black, 16" 0 spoke alloys, elec. glass s/r, chrome mirrors and chrome kit, 50/50 rear seat with headrestraints, and white stripes. Dealer did me a favour in recommending I get the petrol 1.2 rather than 1.3 diesel due to the mileage I do annually. He pointed out road tax is the same as 1.3 diesel, and also difference in mpg is 13.

I might change my specification at one point?

I've been told delivery will be early May.

Can't wait, while I'm out and about in my (soon to go) Streetka!!

Can I ask which dealers you went to as I'm also in the midlands and hoping to be able to order a 500 sometime this year!! not soon enough for me but am spending hours configuring what I want, but it changes every day lol!!

Grays in Warwick, and then Coventry Fiat.

I know what you mean. I spent nearly a week dithering over the specification; I originally had the 1.3 diesel in mind but ended up ordering the 1.2 petrol. The sales guy advised having asked how many miles I did every year.

So in a way, I managed to undercut the budget. Top marks for him!

Not only there's the factory options, but the dealer fit extras and I haven't even started on it!! Never mind Fiat brand clothing - was at the Geneva Show and they had totty (both sexes!) modelling Fiat branded clothing. Will be there next month and I might buy some Fiat clothing...they do offer Fiat branded racing boots :worship:
