bit of a long post BUT i finally got in my order for the gorgeous 500 yesterday!!! ))
however i'm still kinda confused with a couple things...
so far i've gone with a white 1.2 lounge including climate control, fog lights, 16" multi spoke, white steering wheel etc. & leather gear knob. i was going to order tan leather seats but was surprisingly happy with the smart looking standard seats. the thing is, after coming home i am not sure which seats they were (blue checks or black?). so far i have ordered black ones. the showroom car was cha cha blue so i am 'assuming' they were blue checks? is there a good difference between the two? does anyone know where i can get clear pics?
also, my dealer said there was no point in ordering esp. but since fiat are offering lowest priced esp in uk - would it not be a good and safer idea to get it. have many of you ordered it? i'm hoping i can change anything as i just ordered the car. this is the first car i've bought so i'd love to hear any of your opinions. - lastly, after ages of talks, the dealer 'chucked in' full tank of petrol and the black and ivory edged carpets. no big deal i think as i didn't get a penny of the car. what's the best deal anyone has managed???

also managed to have a test drive, the dealer had no 1.2 in stock so took out a 1.4 sport - was fun to drive, the 500 did roll about around fast corners but all in all was very pleasurable - cant wait!

No surprise.
Fiat has ordered that no dealer discount the 500 or faces possible penalties.

ESP system is very impressive I've tested it. For the cost I'd have it.

Congrats on the 500 order! I've uploaded a few pics of the black Lounge interior, hope that helps. I'm suprised the dealer discouraged you from getting ESP. At £200 it's a bit of a bargain, and afterall it could save your life. I went for it

Oh and a full tank of petrol and full set of mats is pretty good going. I don't think anyone on here has even managed that...

By the way Sua, when I changed my order from red leather to the black check cloth interior I specified code 340...that IS ivory ambiance isn't it? Starting to get worried here...don't want to have to drive off in a black interior cos I gave my dealer the wrong code:bang:

Don't worry Bae, 340 is the Ivory/Black Chequered cloth so you'll get the right one The photos above are of the Black Chequer with Black Ambience. The Ivory will obviously get the Ivory dash and Ivory headrests and piping

thanks guys, so im def gonna add in esp then.. im starting to like those Italian stripes down the side of car.. i also want some dark tints, those key covers are cool too.. hmmm 500thousand combos, i wants them all i think
dnt worry baerius, 340 is the black checks and white steering wheel, im getting the same one.
i found out from my dealer also (uxbridge road, london) that they still had some 500s allocated to them in the early batch if anyone is interested in ordering one. apparently they are a new and bigger dealer so fiat is being nice to them.. im getting mine early/mid march whereas the other dealer near me said june at the earliest.
i dnt know how fiat works?? but worth calling them if you are making an order soon i guess..

Do you reckon it's cheeky if I phone up my dealer and ask about allocations and delivery times? And to ask him to post out the updated paperwork for my 'refined' order, as I have my previous contract but recently cancelled the leather and added the parktronic...

Thats not cheeky at all. Infact I'm sure he will recommend it once you have brought it too his attention.

cool i'll phone him soon...be interesting to find out what sort of order numbers they've been having!
