Went into the dealer in wrenthorpe wakefield today as I first saw only the sport in pickering which I didn't really like with it having the dark dash and seats which I didn't like. The one I saw today was the 1.4 lounge in white I really loved the ivory ambience interior and I really liked the blue check seats I thought they felt really good quality. The car looked superb in white and I can't stand white cars! One of the staff had a 1.2 lounge in azure blue outside, this is the colour Linda wants and it did look stunning in that colour, it was much lighter than i thought it would be. The interior really impressed me it felt really good quality, I thought the seat pump lever on the drivers seat was a bit flimsy but there you go. The dash is great. Nuovapanda I know you will read this the salesman in there said you couldn't have the pop interior with the Lounge as I know you don't like the check, but I bet he was wrong and you will already have sussed out you can, I must admit I prefer the check to the pop one But coming away from there I felt good about the car.

I have been surfing the net and found some good pics of the Pop interiors, to be honest the seat material and plastic steering wheel look a bit cheapo to me... also the Lounge does in fact seem the best value, so a Lounge it will have to be for me

My bank has just today increased its loan rate from 8.3% to 14.2% so unless I can sort out some cheaper finance its a no go at the momentThey had a sale on which ended yestarday apparently, and all these sites advertising great APRs slap a big one on when you enquire.

I thought the material in the lounge was quite nice and the steering wheel is leather covered which helps but I suppose if you looked at most small car steering wheels they would be a cit plasticky. Surely you must be able to get a loan with a decent rate on it! What about sainsburys/ M&S bank etc 14.2% is ludicrous. I just looked on sainsburys bank and they have a limited offer on of 6.5% apr, M&S are 8.9%

Apply and see what they then offer.

AA were very good for finance for my 500 - around 6.8% much to my utter amazement; I've never been offered a rate that low before!

I ordered my lounge with red leather/ivory but Andy Armitage says he's seen one and it sux!

now i'm worried...

I have pictures of the red leather with ebony environment but not with Ivory... better than nowt though eh? Those over at NF500 who have seen the red leather say it's more like the bright red in the 3rd pic

Yep, garish is right - when I ordered I asked for the black / red leather interior (car is yellow) it went like this:

Salesman: 'erm, yes Mrs Connolly. I should make you aware that the dashboard is body coloured.....', followed by a pause as he sought the most diplomatic way to say 'you can't be serious'.

Me: 'Don't worry, I know - it'll look like I'm driving a liquorice allsort'.

Salesman: 'Well yes.'

Me: 'It's fine, I have no taste'.

Salesman: 'Oh right, that's okay then. What else was it you wanted?'

LOL, thanks for those pics, it looks better in those than the ones I found. The Lounge seats are piped too, that helps. Back to finance, have lots of interest in the MR2, so hope to sort something but Im not paying these high interest rates

I went to my dealer and changed the order this morning.... getting the Blue/Ivory chequered ivory ambiance standard interior instead....(although on the brochure it says that's not available with Pasodoble red my sales guy said it would be ok)...

Also added Parktronic at the gf's request.... (as someone said earlier "it's a big car"

would have certainly gone for an ivory leather option if available...(like the jag xk) would have been nice...esp with black stitching and piping...

Never thought the forums would be so much help...thanks soooo much...now I just hope I haven't delayed/screwed my order....

Also feel alot better about AC now beasty...thanks for your reassurances and all....sorry i didn't make it to your dealership....maybe next time....since I KNOW that when people see mine at work they'll want one too...

Baerius I see from this post you changed your mind did you see the blue check in the flesh? if so what did you think obviously liked it as you ordered it, so what model and spec are you going for and is it going to be yours or shared with your GF what were you asking about AC are you getting it?

canceled the red leather cos of Suas pics and also people including your good self saying it sucked...and grateful I did so as will probably retro fit Ivory leather at some point if feasible.

I HAVE seen the blue check ivory interior and it is superbly finished esp considering my preconceptions of Fiat....ie I wouldn't look at the company before the 500!!! Sorry!

Will probably have the chrome bonnet strip fitted and the A bar at the dealer....and if I can stretch financially the full body kit as in front and rear dams, side skirts and rear spoiler.

Might even ask my dealer to give me the ivory edged carpet mats as they ain't giving me anything else!!!

Before going to AC I was reading loads of bad reports about them and got all worried but going myself and talking to beasty on the forums I felt much better...Now the order process was all very pleasant and i found a good salesman....I'll keep updating on things as and when until delivery as I think all should...more people talk the better things'll get...

O yeah nd I got ASR ESP HIll holder for an extra £200 Shame on u Fiat should be standard accross range!!!
