Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

Wow...the vintage looks great!!! Thanks for that. Love the white piping,....but it wouldn't go with the pasodoble red....brown/red clash....(gf set on the pasodoble red)

Thanks sooo much for the comments on the red leather interior from andy and the pics from Sua... you guys just saved me £600

I went to my dealer and changed the order this morning.... getting the Blue/Ivory chequered ivory ambiance standard interior instead....(although on the brochure it says that's not available with Pasodoble red my sales guy said it would be ok)...

Also added Parktronic at the gf's request.... (as someone said earlier "it's a big car"

would have certainly gone for an ivory leather option if available...(like the jag xk) would have been nice...esp with black stitching and piping...

Never thought the forums would be so much help...thanks soooo much...now I just hope I haven't delayed/screwed my order....

Also feel alot better about AC now beasty...thanks for your reassurances and all....sorry i didn't make it to your dealership....maybe next time....since I KNOW that when people see mine at work they'll want one too...

Sorry for thread Hijack

Dealer was great...very accommodating...even though he'd sent off the order previous day...

Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

Yo Andy
My FINAL order all done and dusted.
1.3 Lounge
Pasodoble Red (Initally specced Cha Azure on configurator but when myself and gf saw the red in the metal just HAD to go for it)
Black chequered/Ivory ambiance interior (standard)
Foglights
Ivory Leather Gear knob
Parktronic
Electrochromatic Mirror
Auto Climate Control (Looks better as well cos flush with the dash)
Chrome Mirrors
16" Diamond Alloys (Initially went for the multi spokes but when I saw the diamonds and how much of the inside of the wheel they reveal I went for them instead)
White Sports Stripe
Side Rubbing with 500 badge
Dark Tinted Windows

canceled the red leather cos of Suas pics and also people including your good self saying it sucked...and grateful I did so as will probably retro fit Ivory leather at some point if feasible.

I HAVE seen the blue check ivory interior and it is superbly finished esp considering my preconceptions of Fiat....ie I wouldn't look at the company before the 500!!! Sorry!

Will probably have the chrome bonnet strip fitted and the A bar at the dealer....and if I can stretch financially the full body kit as in front and rear dams, side skirts and rear spoiler.

Might even ask my dealer to give me the ivory edged carpet mats as they ain't giving me anything else!!!

Before going to AC I was reading loads of bad reports about them and got all worried but going myself and talking to beasty on the forums I felt much better...Now the order process was all very pleasant and i found a good salesman....I'll keep updating on things as and when until delivery as I think all should...more people talk the better things'll get...

O yeah nd I got ASR ESP HIll holder for an extra £200 Shame on u Fiat should be standard accross range!!!

Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

Baerius sounds great the red with ivory interior is stunning it really is, Linda will go for the azure blue which i really like as well, she fancies chrome mirrors you certainly specced it up eh I agree with you I would never have entertained a Fiat before the 500 no way with their previous reputation, have you ordered chrome mirrors factory fitted? if you have you might want to cancel that and just buy them after from the dealer, they are the same price, that way you will get the standard body coloured mirrors as well if they are factory fitted you won't get them, so if the chrome were damaged you could replace with the body coloured ones

Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

Thanks for that...I did consider that option with the wing mirrors BUT.,... after hearing alot about booking times and quality of work I decided that I'd rather have the heating elements and mirror servos properly wired and working at the factory than dealer fitted and something going wrong....I might be presumptious but for me it's a question of peace of mind really.

But yeah, the down side is if they get damaged then I've got no back up!!

Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

It's a shame the vintage leather isn't available in Sport, as that would be my choice. I definitely want the vintage leather, but I also want the Sport seats (apparently the normal seats don't offer much support) which is better? Red (which does seem a wee bit garish sport seats or Lounge in vintage (which are just stunning)? I guess i'll have to pop into a Fiat dealership in the half term to see if I can compare the seats.

Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

The leather seats are more like the 'sports seats' in the Sport than in the Lounge. They have more bolstering and will be firmer

Re: Just seen the Lounge in the flesh

The red leather is not a bright or garish shade at all and goes extremely well with the Pasadoble red exterior. Motorvogue in Northampton have that combo in their showroom on a Sport and the dealers pathetically small colour swatch for the leather colour is very accurate for the red. The swatch for the vintage though looks more like a chocolate colour and nothing like these pics which look great IMHO. I may have to think about ordering a second 500 in Funk white with Vintage leather and do a trade in around September with my Bossa Nova/red one
