Hi all Linda was just looking at any little extras and she saw the chrome door mirrors which she thinks would look great with a 1.2 lounge cha cha azure and i do agree with her but then i do like mirrors body coloured as well, what are your thoughts, we wouldn't add much to standard spec she likes the blue checked cloth trim with ivory ambience which I haven't seen in the flesh but looks great on the fiat site, and we think the azure looks great although yet to see it in the flesh. Do you think the standard 15 inch alloys will be a pain to clean and if so which other wheel? would the car look daft if it had 16 inch alloys on it? I can't believe I am thinking of a fiat as in the past i would always avoid any italian car and just go for german but I am sure fiats have got a lot better since then. :D

The 500 looks great with 16" wheels IMHO, not at all oversized.

From my experience with 4 Alfas and my daughter's Grande Punto in comparison with my current Audi A3 Sportback company car all have been very reliable. The downside with the Alfas is the dreadful depreciation but the 500 shouldn't be so afflicted.

It isn't going to be e very exclusive club though if we all want one so I am going to have to put you off :)

Having seen the cars side by side we like the body colour mirrors on the 500 more btw

baldrick so you have seen the chrome mirrors then? but preffered the body colour am i correct in thinking that. What one are you going for, I never pay full price for a new car but with this one i can't see anyone doing a deal on it can you? And have you seen one with 16 inch wheels as she does like one of the styles in 16 inch but does like the standard 15 inch it's just the cleaning problem!

Hey Andy! All Fiat dealers have a Cha Azure with chrome mirrors and 16" alloys, it would be worth going down to your nearet dealer to have a look.

As for the chrome mirrors - they look great. However I'd stick with the body coloured door mirrors and buy the chrome mirrors as a dealer accessory. They're £50 whether you have them factory fitted or if you fit them yourself (very, very easy) but if you have them factory fitted you won't get your body coloured mirrors as well, going down the dealer accessory route you get the option to keep your original body coloured ones :) Get me? :)

You do realise that every Fiat dealership in the land has a Cha Cha Cha Azure Lounge demonstrator with Blue/Ivory trim, don't you?

I went to the local dealer today and they have a red sport and a diesel cha cha azure but the azure had been taken home at lunchtime by a member of staff so i couldn't see it and this is the colour Linda wants and i so wanted to see it and the glass roof. Suasexed what spec are you going for as i saw your picture, Linda wants the 1.2 lounge cha cha azure with blue check cloth and the chrome mirrors which we will get at the dealers thnks to you, are you having the 15 or 16 inch multi spoke alloys? they will be a pain to clean though but they are the nicest design I do hope i won't regret buying an Italian car as their previous reputation isn't great!

Yes, the demos include a Cha Cha blue model with chrome mirrors, which I saw parked next to a white one with white mirrors. Both looked fine but we all preferred the body coloured ones. I think on a darker colour the chrome would look better.

The 15s look a bit too small for me. We drove a 1.4 Sport on 16s. The ride felt fine to us, then again I have an Audi A3 Sportback company car, so a skateboard would probably feel fine too :)

We all have our own opinion and no-one is right for wrong but personally I cant stand the chrome mirrors (too much like the Mini ones :(, much prefer colour-coded ones and although some of the 15'' alloys are nice looking and would make the ride easier I think they look a bit small, the 16''s look much nicer .

Like I said personal choice, dont want to offend anyone :D

I've gone for a 1.2 Lounge with dark tinted rear windows and ESP. I'm getting 15" multispokes, although I wanted the 16" multispokes... my build status suddenly changed from 'heavy variability' to 'fixed' which meant I couldn't add them. Both my dealer and myself were suprised at the sudden status change, I was meant to have at least another week to decide on extra options but it seems Fiat had suddenly gone uber efficent and 'sealed' my order so I couldn't add anything else. Just to add, there is nothing wrong with Italian carS, in my experiance they are more reliable than German ones... for instance did you know that the problems the Alfa 156 have are mostly to do with German components. I never have bothered with AA or RAC cover in the 11 years of Fiat ownership, but now my wife has had a VW for two years and is about to have another, I have joined the RAC because of the bad times with her current VW:)
I dont let her have Fiats, she doesnt love cars enough so thats why she gets other makes!

Good thinking!(y)

Hmmm Chrome mirrors a bit Chav'vy IMO - especially when theres alot of Deutschland Automobili wearing them (Mini!).......Whats wrong with free Black ones?

Hi Nello it was Linda who said she quite liked them though she would go for the lounge which comes with body coloured which |I think would be better, don't like you using the word chav as I can't bear chavs she won't like you for it :D

Nello we are not chavvy people and I don't know how you can say the black ones are better, they just aren't, how can chrome look awful when you have a retro car which will be in azure blue lounge spec so it has a lot of chrome detailing on it anyway. Look at any retro car. Also look at the origional 500 you will see it has chrome mirrors :D
