Hi, I live in north italy (30miles from Turin) and have had my new 500 for 3 weeks. It is fabulous!! Forget ordering. we ordered in August a Sport Pearl white but had to give up (for tax loss we had to buy before the end of the year). We were promised Nov, latest Dec. The dealer now couldnt even give an idea - Spring maybe - so we bought from a Peugeot dealer that had new ones on the forecourt. Ours had been used in display in an Opticians window for the Alba truffle festival all of November!
It's a Lounge diesel, lighthearted blue with black and white cloth interior.
We've done 1,200km and average around 60mpg (5.5l/100km). Top speed so far - 180kmh..
It's smooth, quiet and nippy. Very comfortable even on a 2hour journey and it looks fabulous.
Forget the idiot journalists that thrash £100k cars round tracks, put their boring exploits on DVD and make a fortune out of school children and think we should love them for it. This is a great little car. What's the alternative, a dull Jap car?? Forget it. Get a 500. If you've ordered one be prepared to wait- this is Italy and you cant get them. I even offered to buy two that were on display but they said Fiat wouldn't allow them to be sold.
If you want a LHD we know garages here that have them in stock. we paid £10k for ours. here's a photo of pick up evening:
