I hear that the first customer cars for the UK are actually in production as of Sat 1st December.

I got a call to finalise my spec yesterday (thought I'd done that a few weeks ago to be honest but evidently the dealer hadn't progressed it ). I'm now dubious about getting my car on launch day but with modern production techniques it should still be feasible. I know you can change BMW specs right up to 10 days prior to production now and that it takes around 3 weeks for them to go from start of production to delivery in the UK so perhaps Fiat can manage to get it here with 7 weeks to go until launch day.

When did you place your order for your 500 mate? Just wondering when I will get mine I placed my deposit and ordered mine last Tuesday, so far heard nothing from my dealer as when it will be here!!!
My order was placed early October, I belive FIAT are working on a delivery of about March/April at the moment
Great! I hope so! Be great if I get it before March! Think I'll give the dealer a ring tommorow check if hes got me a definete date yet!
Got an estimated date now!!! Apparently should be the end of Feb! Apparently mine is the first 500 my dealer has ordered! Im pleased as it will give me chance to try and sell my car save part exchanging it in, although my dealer has offered me a good price!

They didnt tell me a build date, my dealer told me that the order wont actually go through for another 8 days!?!
as apparently Fiat aren't processing any orders for the UK till then?
