I'm liking the look of this car a lot

Wonder how well the motoring hacks did today after the official launch? I see good old WhatCar? while praising the 500 still reckon the Mini will hold sway with the trendy set, partly because of the ownership package. Talk about prejudging an issue! But did I image it or in the press conference this morning weren't they talking about 5 year and 500,000km 'care packages'?

Anyway, I've just tried configuring a 500 on the Italian site; absolutely bewildering array of options! I can see why they say there are something like half a millions different permutations...

At the start of the day they reputedly had 180 cars for the officials to try in Turin.

I wonder how many they had at the end of the day.

Threre's a Turin dealer with one at 8200euros.....its a misprint...a hoax...or they got it cheap! List price of the cheapest 10500euros!

All I'm saying is; by you saying what you did, it implies that a man being thought of as 'gay' because he drives a perticular car is a bad thing. It's a derogitory comment. So what if someone thinks you're gay?

Have you thought how a gay person may feel if you're throwing around comments like that? Just think before you post fella!

And why should men care if people think they're gay driving a 500 I couldn't care less what people think

This new car has already been described by motoring hacks as girlie,twee,a bauble, a frippery,something you buy becos you want it not because you need it, but is it any more girlie or gay for a man to drive than mini or lupo or smartcar. I like it anyway.

Its good to see Fiat on a roll ATM with the new bravo (i really like the look of that the Gp, panda and now the 500...especially after years of watching them build cars like the stilo and the idea and keeping the old punto going about 3 years after it should have been dead and buried...(no offense to anyone who owns these cars but you gotta admit they nearly bankrupted the company with their mediocrity) top gear also liked the 500 and again compared it to the new mini...as for assaulting the manhood of men who drive it reckon its gonna be very colour sensitive black with chunky alloys (as above really) looks a lot less cutesy...tho ditch the a-team van stripe and fit some dark (gunmetal or anthracite) wheels...

Nope, unsecure men might view the driver as gay, girls will see a guy who has a big one and doesn't need a Mercedes as a substitute ;-)
