Hey everyone, I just purchased an automatic US 2012 Fiat pop with 52k miles and it jerks a bit when shifting from 1st to 2nd. All other gears seem to be smooth. So I was just hoping someone had a little insight on this problem.

Thanks!

Could be wrong but think the us box is a traditional auto box rather than the robotised manual box here?

That's my understanding also.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum.

US cars don't use a dualogic gearbox; they have a conventional autobox with a torque converter. These 'boxes are generally reliable, so there's not much relevant experience with these transmissions on this forum, but any competent local transmission shop should be able to help you with this.

Did you try shifting manually from 1st to 2nd without letting off the throttle that might help.
