I have a 2012 Fiat 500 and I'm having a hard time removing the top alternator bolt. Is there a specific way of removing it?

According to manual,
1, Disconnect Battery Negative terminal connection.
2. Remove Air cleaner assembly
3. Remove Aux drive belt
4. Remove right side drive shaft!
5. unscrew bolt securing rear engine mount to subframe.
6. Unscrew retaining nuts and remove electrical connections.
7. Unscrew upper and lower alternator mounting bolts from engine, NOTE, it may be necessary to tip the engine forward slightly to gain access to the upper bolt!

Never done one myself but sounds like a right palaver, 'Remove Driveshaft' really?

This is a US spec 500..

Which manual do you have ?

Right.....this procedure was from the Haynes manual. Appreciate that there is a vast difference between diesel & petrol but US spec?
So, how very different is the engine layout in a 500 for LHD.?

I have the two bottom bolts out and the wires that connect to the back. I just can't brake the top bolt loose. I just want to know if there's an easy way of doing it and if there's a specific tool I should be using.

Yes it's tight, I can't break it loose at all. There's not much room to work with either. I just want to know if anyone else has had a hard time and if anyone knows of an easy way to break it loose.
