Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to buy the original Fiat Turbo separately? I have a 2016 Fiat 500 Pop and would like to add the original Turbo to it. I hope it can be done.
Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Whilst it may be possible, given enough time, resources and parts, by far and away the cheapest and easiest way to achieve what you are trying to do would be to trade your car in for a turbo model.

If you have extremely competent DIY skills and can source a suitable wrecked complete car, it might just be possible to salvage and transplant what's needed from the donor car.

If you're thinking in terms of taking it to an autoshop and asking them to fit a turbo, best just to forget about the idea.

The only other thing worth noting is space etc. I'm pretty sure I read (and correct me if I'm wrong) that the Abarth has got bigger bumpers at the front to make space for the intercooler etc. that the 500 doesn't have. Can be done? Yes. Whether you've got the time/money/inclination? Maybe not. You can certainly do other mods and get a lot of joy out of it nonetheless though.

As mentioned, easiest way would just be to buy the Turbo/Abarth version.

Certainly this side of the pond a modified car even fitted with a genuine Fiat turbo motor and all other turbo spec parts will be very much more expensive to insure than exactly the same spec of car but built in the factory.
