General EPA ratings for the 2012 Fiat 500

38 mpg on the highway, 30 mpg in the city and a combined figure of 33 are the EPA figures for a Fiat 500 mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

Remember these figures are based on US Gallons. IN UK Gallons it would be 45.6mpg highway, 36 mpg city & 39.6mpg combined.

One of the major additions is represented by the automatic transmission, while the North American car provides a more comfortable ride and is quieter and the 101HP 1.4-liter FIRE engine received a MultiAir intake system, which improves power output and fuel efficiency by 10% over the Euro-spec engine.

if it is 10% more powerful why isn't it 110 bhp??

i thought multi-air was on the turbo engines only?

The "Glove Box" was added to the US version. We in the USA have been told that all the upgrades will be forthcoming on the Euro cars soon as upgrades.

Your welcome.....:)

!.4 Multi Air to statr. I wish I had the option of a diesel on my new Prima Edizione.

Let's hope the Torinese make a better fist of their invasion of the USA than they did the last time. We're planning a visit to the Colonies in two years for Mrs. Beard's birthday. Last time we went over we thought we'd be renting a Pontiac or Dodge, but ended up with a Focus, and I'd already had five by that time.

With any luck, next time we might get lucky and catch a FIAT or a (Lancia)Delta.
