Finally picking up the Fiat today, and the big question is - what kind of gas should I use? 89, 93, maybe rec 90? I have no clue what is best for a car of this vintage!

If you can, try to see if you can find ethanol free gas (try the Pure Gas app). If you can’t, I would just use Super. The tank is so small, the difference in price from regular will hardly be noticeable. Generally you won’t see any additional performance from Super but they usually have fewer impurities than regular gas does.

Here in the UK, the 'super' fuel is staying at E5 for at least 5 years (so they say!). Shell, BP and Asso all have a 'super in their range; in most parts of the UK, according to their web-site, Esso 99+ is ETHANOL FREE. This is the fuel that I use in my tuned 500(659cc '126'engine) and is what I would reccomend for all classic cars. As Ryan suggests, try and find a garage that sells fuel with the lowest ethanol contant, even if it the 'super'grade

How was the first drive? Lots of waves and smiles from passers by Im sure!

First drive was great. Big stupid grin from the driver (me) for sure. I'll make a new post about it later, as I have lots of questions. In general it's a smile machine for those inside and out...except for those who are pissed they have to follow behind me at low speeds in their Suburbans.
