Ok i had my MOT check today and i was called at the reception. Technician told me that starter is inop, i mean he was turning the key but nothing..can you believe it?. I was pretty sure this would happen but dark side told me to have some fan with it, so i didn't give them any "how to start" instructions. Anyway when i start it technician asked.. did you just pulled the handbrake? Then he told me that he had no idea about what this car was and looked at the front to see the badge:bang:

Just be grateful Thomas that the idiot didn't keep trying to turn the key and snap it off! It wouldn't be the first time that I have heard of that happening.

That reminds me of when i went to collect an MGA I picked up on Ebay, the guy said “take it for a test drive but don’t pull the hand brake up as it doesn’t release” He owned the car for 5 years & kept it in a cocoon so it was immaculate. he told me last time he put the handbrake on he had to call his garage to release it. It turned out to be a fly-off handbrake where you push the chrome button & pull up the lever. He had the car 5 years covered 5000 miles & never used the handbrake!
