Hi all!
I found my Gamine in 1992 in Sydney/Australia. Already back in 1997 I started a Vignale Gamine website in order to find out how many were produced exactly. Unfortunately, all the adminstration was lost after Alfredo Vignale sold his company to De Tomaso.
Last year, with information from the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands, we were able to set up an International Register. It now has 530 Gamines in 29 countries!
More interesting... we found 75 right hand drive Gamines so far! But... there might be a lot more. Some say even over 300 were sold by the importer, Frixos Demetriou. It is also said that he took 100 cars with him back to Cyprus, in order to avoid import duties on unsold cars...
Anyway. I would like to get in touch with other UK Gamine owners. There should be 'a bit' more around.
