I think my 123 has given up the ghost as well.

That's a shame Matt. I thought my breakdown was a one-off. It is worth dismantling when you get a chance. You won't have any problem working out the cause and the solution. But as I have said before, it's a bit unexpected that an original distributor will last such a long time and these things can't manage more than a few thousand miles.

I never expected, nor did I get a response from the manufacturer. Maybe I will try again and refer them to your own experience, which looks to have had exactly the same outcome as my own.

At around £250/$250, it's not as if you should just have to "put it down to experience".

Tom,

If you like, I can digitize any other stuff you have that you want more easily accessible. I have a scanner and the software necessary to compile it. Send it on over and I'll put it together for you.

Thanks,
Matt
