Hi All,

Recently did shoes and cylinders all round, also did front brake drums and bearings, back drums had been previously done. Back left shoes wouldn't go on, let off the handbrake and they still the drum wouldn't accept them. I popped in the old shoes as there is loads left on them, then bled the system but now I've a new problem.....

I put the car in reverse to do the seating the brakes trick, flies along in reverse and stops bit doesn't like going forwards. Currently it's dark outside so I've called it a night but I've no problem going backwards for a bit tomorrow.....I've spent my whole life going backwards so no point changing now!
Is this common enough, will they eventually bed and normality return or do I need to jack er up?

Thanks!

Gavin

Just following up, brakes are now all free and car is rolling with ease.
Got the back left shoes on after freeing up the adjuster, was messing with them and spotted so e of the clear coat had been sprayed over the adjuster. They eventually sat in all nice nice.

Slight new problem, under heavy braking the car pulls to the right, system has been bled twice. I don't want to pull the front drums off as I'm lacking spare hammered locking nuts.

Might this drive out of it, could the shoes still be bedding? With travel restrictions I've not been able to cover any great mileage, just the odd nip around the block....
